Skills

Skills are things your AI can do during a call, beyond talking.

Knowledge

Always on when knowledge/ has files. See Persona & knowledge.

Requests

Your AI collects a request (an order, a booking, a message, a standup update), reads it back, and sends it to you once the caller confirms.

json
"requests": { "what": "the order, pickup time, name and phone number" }

what is the list of things a request must include, in your words (up to 300 characters). In a call the AI:

  1. asks for anything missing, one thing at a time;
  2. reads the whole request back in one sentence;
  3. sends it only after the caller asks it to and confirms, using a tool called send_request;
  4. tells them it was sent.

Requests arrive in your Kol messages in the app, and with kol requests (and live in kol logs).

When you try your AI (kol try, kol test), the tool runs in test mode: you see that it was used and with what, but nothing is sent. Test it like this:

json
{
  "name": "takes an order",
  "turns": [
    { "user": "Two margheritas for pickup at 7, I'm Dana, 555-0100.", "expect": { "noTool": true } },
    { "user": "Yes, that's right. Please send it.", "expect": { "tool": "send_request" } }
  ]
}

Answering calls for its owner

Companions only: "answersForOwner": true. See Companions and services.

Coming later

More skills (bookings in a calendar, looking things up, joining group calls for creators' AIs) are planned. Tell us what you need in the issues.
